Dr Karunakar Prabhu is an Oral Surgery Consultant at Ipswich Hospital. He has extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience in Oral Surgery.

In the hospital, Dr.Prabhu treats patients referred for complex specialized oral surgery procedures including surgical extractions, impacted wisdom teeth removal, treatment of cysts, soft tissue biopsies and apicectomies under local anesthesia, IV sedation as well as treating patients under General anesthesia. He also manages oral cancer detection outpatient clinics and plays a pivotal role in the triaging of department referrals from GPs and GDPs. Notably, he is also actively involved in the treatment of patients undergoing complex facial surgery and prosthetic rehabilitation of head and neck cancer patients, including dental implants.

Dr.Prabhu is an Educational Supervisor for Junior Trainees in the Department of Oral Surgery at Ipswich Hospital. He actively contributes to the Ipswich Hospital Post Graduate Centre, organizing and lecturing for local dentists. He brings this knowledge to our team.
