This is an effective and minimally invasive method to improving your smile. It’s normally used to:

• Repair damaged or broken teeth
• Fill gaps in the teeth
• Mask any discolouration of a tooth
• Reshape teeth
• As a smile makeover

It is made from a composite resin, and can often be carried out in just one visit. It involves gently roughening up the surface of the tooth in order for the resin to be applied. The composite is then hardened using a UV light.

Most patients are able to fully bite down by the end of the appointment, meaning you will be able to easily return to your day as normal. Cosmetic bonding has an average lifespan of 2-4 years and does require regular maintenance over time.
