Dental Care for Children
Here at AWBDP, we encourage children to visit the dentist from a very early age. We help with this by creating a positive association with the dentist and making your child feel safe, whilst providing a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. We believe visiting the dentist from an early age develops good oral hygiene habits, which goes a long way in maintaining oral health and helps good oral habits to become a second nature.
We also discuss diet and lifestyle habits. We can show you effective ways to clean teeth and gums, advise on sugar reduction and cutting down on snacks, and encourage a healthy diet in order to reduce the risks of tooth decay. This goes a long way to maintain general health.
Here at AWBDP preventative dental care is the main approach to children’s dentistry, hence we encourage regular routine appointments. This helps to discuss diet and oral hygiene habits and also any problems can be flagged at the earliest, so needed care can be provided.
This helps to prevent the need for complex treatment down the line, as well as removing a phobia of the dentist in adulthood. We educate the parents and encourage them to participate actively in their children’s oral health care.
We are pleased to offer appointments for your children at times that are convenient for you, including after school and school holidays.
