How do Anti-ageing injections work?

‘Wrinkles’ are an inevitable part of the ageing process, but can be also be due to exposure to the sun, stress, diet, and weight loss.

These wrinkles can be either:

• Static – caused by the gradual loss of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid
• Dynamic – created by repeated facial muscle movements, such as laughing and frowning.

Anti-ageing injections work to temporarily relax and paralyse the small facial muscles that cause the contractions and wrinkles, helping to minimise the appearance of lines as well as minimise the movements that can lead to increased lines.

The Treatment:

The clinician will see you for a consultation initially to understand your needs and discuss the treatment that will be tailored to you. The clinician will see you for an intial consultation to discuss your wants and treatments needs.

On the day of your treatment the clinician will take some before and after photos and will explain the whole procedure with you. Once treatment has been completed you will be provided with an after-care leaflet and your practitioner will arrange a follow up appointment within the next 2 weeks. This will give us the opportunity to review and make any additional tweaks/tops ups.
